Web development for an original ski and bike shop in South Lake Tahoe, operated since 1980. Sierra Ski and Cycle Works helped usher in the sports of mountain biking and backcountry skiing in Lake Tahoe. Gary Bell built many of the popular trails ridden today and was an early inventor and tinkerer with early mountain bike designs, built from beach cruisers.
The new website highlights Sierra Ski and Cycle Works products and services, but also celebrates the legacy of these sports by showcasing Gary Bell’s involvement in the development of them and highlights from his “Spoke Junkie” column, which has appeared in the Tahoe Mountain News each month for over 20 years.
