For this project, we collaborated with Becky Bell to recreate the Lake Tahoe Water Trail logo and website. The Water Trail is a “trail” for paddlers on Lake Tahoe and features trailheads with signage and public launch/landing sites and campgrounds for overnight paddling trips. The website features and interactive Google Map of the trail, live weather feeds and webcams from around the lake, information on the water trail, and maps.
The website also focuses heavily on educating users on safety, conservation and respecting private property boundaries. We worked with Sierra Business Council staff to develop a look and feel for the website and logo that is friendly and easy to use for users seeking information, while incorporating key messaging about safety and conservation.
The website was designed with a mobile-first approach, understanding that over 50% of web traffic to the site will be through mobile devices.
